The 97th edition of the 2025 Oscars is scheduled for tomorrow and will be presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The event will be broadcast live on TNT and will also be available on the streaming platform Max. One of the novelties this year is that Conan O'Brien will host the ceremony.
The gala promises to be filled with tributes to the film industry, live performances, and of course, the presentation of the coveted awards in categories such as Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress, among others. Notable celebrities such as Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Cillian Murphy, and Emma Stone will be present at the event.
The most nominated film this year is "In Search of Emilia Pérez," a French musical and crime comedy with 13 nominations, closely followed by the historical drama "The Brutalist" and "The Wicked," each with 10 nominations. Surprisingly, neither Nicole Kidman for "Babygirl" nor Angelina Jolie for "Callas" received any nominations this time.
The ceremony had to be postponed twice due to wildfires that affected Los Angeles and caused damage in California. However, everything is set for the 97th edition of the Oscars to finally take place and recognize excellence in the global film industry.
